HAND FIT

Your hand should feel secure without numbness or excess movement. Always account for the wraps you use in training.

WRIST SUPPORT

A stable wrist position improves power transfer and reduces avoidable movement. Check cuff length, closure tension and how easily you can fasten both gloves.

PADDING DISTRIBUTION

Bag work and sparring place different demands on padding. Sparring gloves usually spread protection more generously; bag gloves prioritise feedback and repeated impact.

MATERIAL

Leather offers durability and moulds over time. Quality synthetic materials can be easier to maintain and deliver strong value for regular training.

CLOSURE AND TRAINING PURPOSE

Hook-and-loop closures are practical for independent training. Lace-up gloves offer a precise fit but usually require assistance.

SIZE IS ONLY PART OF THE EQUATION.
THE JOHNSPORT STANDARD

PROTECTION FIRST. PERFORMANCE SECOND. BOTH MATTER.

Choose the glove for the work you actually do.
